The catalogue you have at disposal fills the perceptible gap in the published doccumentation to the palaeontological collections of the Czech Geological Survey. So far, only poorly known (because of very limited edition) four-volume catalogue of Havlíček at al. (1968), Galle (1968), Galle and Šnajdr (1973) and Šnajdr (1974) have been published about the palaeontological collections of the CGS. This older catalogue, however, covers only minor part of the current collections and it is not sufficient for modern studies. Therefore, we prepared this new catalogue. (...)  (authors)
